WELCOME TO TEMBISA DRUGS
REHABILITATION MOVEMENT (TDRM).

We are a community-based foundation that supports individuals and families affected by drug and alcohol abuse. Our goal is to restore hope, dignity, and healthy living within our communities. TDRM works closely with individuals struggling with substance abuse by providing support, guidance, rehabilitation assistance, and community awareness programs. We believe that recovery is possible with the right support system.

ABOUT US

Tembisa Drugs Rehabilitation Movement (TDRM) is a non-profit organization focused on addressing substance abuse and its impact on individuals, families, and communities. The foundation was established in response to the growing challenges caused by drug and alcohol abuse, particularly among young people. Our work is rooted in compassion, understanding, and community involvement. We believe recovery is a journey that requires support, education, and aftercare.

TESTIMONIALS

Male Beneficiary, Tembisa

“I lost both my parents at a young age, and that pain stayed with me for a long time. I was introduced to drugs like CAT and later moved to nyaope. At some point, I could see that my life was going in the wrong direction, and I honestly felt like I was reaching the end. When I met Thato Matome through TDRM, it felt like help was finally finding me. I was shown that support exists and that change is possible if you are willing to take responsibility for your journey. Being connected to TDRM helped me start thinking differently about my life and my future.”

“I started with marijuana thinking it was something small and manageable. Over time, it no longer felt enough, and I ended up using nyaope. That experience felt like hell to me — even though I have never been there, that is the closest I can describe it. Through the support and guidance I received from TDRM, I began to understand the impact of my choices. I am learning to face my struggles honestly and to work towards a better life, one step at a time.”

“Substance use slowly took control of my life without me realising it at first. I reached a point where I felt stuck and disconnected from myself and those around me. TDRM gave me a space where I could speak openly and be guided without being judged. The support I received reminded me that change starts with self-awareness and commitment. I am still on my journey, but I no longer feel alone.”
